“รถยนต์เป็นความฝันของผมตั้งแต่ ป. 5-6 แต่ไม่เคยมีโอกาสได้เรียนรู้จริงๆ” ธี - ธีรภพ ทองทิพย์ นักเรียนโรงเรียนชุมชนวัดทับมา จ. ระยอง ตอบเมื่อถูกถามถึงความฝันและความชอบ

เช่นเดียวกับ อะตอม - อรรถสิทธิ์ พรหมพันธ์ เพื่อนร่วมชั้นของธี ที่ชอบการถ่ายภาพแต่ไม่มั่นใจในฝีมือ

นั่นคือเรื่องราวก่อนที่ทั้ง 2 คนจะเข้าร่วมโครงการ Future Ready และ Youth’s Eye View โดยมูลนิธิทีช ฟอร์ ไทยแลนด์ ที่มุ่งเน้นสร้างทักษะอาชีพผ่านการปฏิบัติจริง โดยมีครูผู้นำการเปลี่ยนแปลงและครูที่โรงเรียนสนับสนุนอย่างต่อเนื่อง

เตรียมซ้อม พร้อมรับ ‘อนาคต’ กับ Future Ready 

“ธีเขาชอบรถ ชอบทำรถยนต์กระดาษมาให้ดู” ครูจี้ - ศศิกานต์ ใยแก้ว ครูผู้นำฯ​ รุ่น 10 เล่า “แต่ก่อนได้ร่วมโครงการความฝันเขายังล่องลอย ไม่รู้จะต่อยังไงในอนาคต”​ 

โครงการ Future Ready เตรียมความพร้อมนักเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาต่อตลาดแรงงาน ผ่านทัศนศึกษาและกิจกรรมเกี่ยวกับทักษะอาชีพโดยเรียนรู้จากสถานที่จริง ธีและอะตอมได้ไปทัศนศึกษาที่โรงงานฟอร์ด ไทยแลนด์ แมนูแฟคเจอร์ริ่ง (FTM) พร้อมทั้งร่วมกิจกรรมที่ส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้ทักษะอาชีพที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการผลิตรถยนต์อีกด้วย

ซึ่งตรงกับเส้นทางความฝันของธี ความชอบในยานยนต์ยังทำให้เขาโดดเด่นในระหว่างกิจกรรมขึ้นไปอีก

“ธีสนใจกิจกรรมมาก เขาถามเจ้าหน้าที่ละเอียดมาก” ครูก้าว - กษิดิศ สมมุติ ครูประจำชั้นของธี เล่า

“ผมตื่นเต้นที่ได้ไปดูโรงงานฟอร์ด ได้เห็นกลไกการทำงานของรถ เครื่องจักร และองค์ประกอบต่างๆ ของรถครับ” ธีสะท้อนด้วยน้ำเสียงตื่นเต้น “แล้วก็เริ่มอยากศึกษาเรื่องนี้มากขึ้น” 

ความตื่นเต้นนี้ไม่จบแค่เพียงกิจกรรมของ Future Ready เท่านั้น “หลังกลับมาจากโรงงาน เราได้ยินคำว่า ‘อยาก(เรียนรู้)’ จากธีบ่อยขึ้นมาก” ครูจี้เล่า นั่นเพราะธีมีความชัดเจนในสิ่งที่ตนเองต้องการ และเริ่มสื่อสารให้ครูรู้ว่าเขาต้องการเรียนรู้อะไร และต้องการสร้างอนาคตแบบไหนให้กับตนเอง

“เหมือนได้เติมเต็มความฝันเลยครับ” ธีเล่า “และผมรู้แล้วว่าอยากเรียนต่อเกี่ยวกับช่างกลที่วิทยาลัยอาชีวศึกษาตากสิน”

เล่าการศึกษา ผ่านตาเด็กไทย กับ Youth’s Eye View

“ผมชอบถ่ายรูป แต่ผมไม่มีทักษะ กลัวว่าจะทำไม่ได้“ อะตอมสะท้อน

“อะตอมชอบถ่ายภาพมากๆ แต่เขาไม่รู้ว่าภาพที่ดีเป็นอย่างไร” ครูใหม่ - ศิริรักษ์ ธูปหอม ครูประจำชั้นของอะตอมเล่า แม้ว่าอะตอมจะรับหน้าที่เป็นช่างภาพของโรงเรียนบ้าง แต่เจ้าตัวกลับมองว่าตนเองขาดทักษะที่จะประสบความสำเร็จในด้านนี้ 

เมื่อได้เข้าร่วมโครงการ Youth’s Eye View ที่ชวนนักเรียนมัธยมร่วมเวิร์กชอปเติมทักษะการเล่าเรื่อง (storytelling) ผ่านการถ่ายภาพ และได้เมนเทอร์เป็นช่างภาพชื่อดังมากประสบการณ์อย่างคุณเป็ด - ชญานี ชมแสงจันทร์ (“Pedduckk”) ช่วยให้มุมมองของช่างภาพอาชีพ ทัศนคติของอะตอมก็เปลี่ยนไป

“ผมรู้สึกแตกต่างจากเดิม ไม่คิดว่าจะทำได้” เขาเล่า “ได้รู้วิธีการเล่นแสงเงา จัดองค์ประกอบและมุมภาพว่าถ่ายมุมไหนให้ดูดีด้วย”

“อะตอมได้มุมมองใหม่ๆ ที่ออกจากกรอบ ตอนแรกจับกล้องอย่างเดียวโดยไม่รู้โฟกัสว่าเป็นอย่างไร ซึ่งเราเห็นความก้าวหน้าในภาพถ่ายของเขาในงานโรงเรียน” ครูใหม่กล่าวเสริม

หลังจบโครงการฯ ภาพถ่ายของอะตอมคือ 1 ใน 42 ภาพที่ได้จัดแสดงในนิทรรศการ Youth’s Eye View ที่หอศิลป์กรุงเทพฯ และยังชนะ Popular Vote จากการโหวตภาพถ่ายของนักเรียนในภูมิภาคตะวันออกที่เข้าร่วมโครงการฯ​ อีกด้วย

“ผมเห็นผลงานตัวเองที่หอศิลป์ รู้สึกดีมากเลยว่าผมมีความสามารถด้านนี้ด้วย” อะตอมเล่าอย่างภูมิใจ “ผมมั่นใจในการถ่ายรูปมากขึ้น ทุกวันนี้ยังใช้เทคนิคการถ่ายภาพในงานโรงเรียน และรับถ่ายงานแต่งเพื่อนพ่อเพื่อหารายได้เพิ่มด้วย”

เรื่องราวการเติบโตของธีและอะตอมแสดงให้เห็นว่า เมื่อโอกาสกลายเป็นสิ่งที่เข้าถึงได้ เด็กๆ ในประเทศไทยก็พร้อมไขว่คว้าไว้ เพื่อพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตและอนาคตของพวกเขา 

ครูเพียงทำหน้าที่ส่งต่อ และส่งเสริมโอกาสเหล่านี้ให้ปรากฎขึ้นต่อหน้าพวกเขาเท่านั้น เหมือนคำพูดสรุปของครูจี้ที่ว่า “ครูคือผู้นำโอกาส ที่สุดท้ายจะนำ (เด็กๆ) ไปสู่การต่อยอดประสบการณ์ใหม่ๆ” 

และการมีครูเหล่านี้อยู่ในโรงเรียนทั่วประเทศ​ ย่อมเป็นการเปิดประตูการเรียนรู้ให้เด็กๆ ได้มากยิ่งขึ้น

Dreams Begin with Opportunity

“I’ve always liked cars since Grade 5th or 6th, but I never really had the chance to learn about them”, said Tee – Thiraphop Thongthipy, a student from Wat Thap Ma Community School in Rayong, when asked about his dreams and interests.

Neither student had had the opportunity to engage deeply with what they were passionate about before participating in Future Ready and Youth’s Eye View. These two projects, run by Teach for Thailand, focus on career skill-building through real-world experiences, with ongoing support from Fellows and teachers.

Future Ready

“Tee loves cars. He used to make paper models and show me”, shared Kru Jee – Sasikan Yaikaew, a Fellow cohort 10. “Before joining the project, his dream was unclear. He didn’t know how to move forward”.

Future Ready prepares secondary school students for the workforce through field trips and activities related to career-related skills. Tee and Atom visited Ford Thailand Manufacturing (FTM) and engaged in workshops related to automotive production—an experience that aligned perfectly with Tee’s passion.

“Tee was highly engaged. He asked the staff detailed questions”, said Kru Kao – Kasidit Sommoot, Tee’s homeroom teacher.

“I was so excited to visit Ford and see how cars are made, how the machinery works and what the components are”, Tee said, beaming. “It made me want to learn even more about it”.

After returning from the factory, Kru Jee noticed something new:

“We started hearing Tee say ‘I want to learn…’ much more often. He’s clearer about what he wants and more open about what kind of future he hopes to build for himself”.

“It felt like my dream came true”, Tee shared. “Now I know I want to pursue automotive engineering at Taksin Vocational College”.

Youth’s Eye View

“I’ve always liked photography, but I didn’t have the skills. I was afraid I wasn’t good enough”, said Atom.

“Atom loved photography, but he didn’t know what made a photo ‘good’”, added Kru Mai – Siriruk Tuphom, Atom’s homeroom teacher. Though Atom often helped as the school’s unofficial photographer, he doubted his ability to succeed in the field.

That changed when Atom joined Youth’s Eye View, a photography storytelling workshop, mentored by renowned photographers, like Khun Ped - Chayanee Chomsaengchan (Pedduckk), whose guidance reshaped Atom’s perspective and confidence. 

“I never thought I could do it”, Atom said. “Now I know how to play with light and shadow, to frame a photo and choose the best angle”.

“He used to just point and shoot without thinking about focus or composition”, Kru Mai added. “Now we can see improvement in the photos he takes for school events”.

After the program, Atom’s photo was selected as 1 of 42 showcased at the Youth’s Eye View exhibition at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). It then went on to win the Popular Vote for the Eastern region.

“Seeing my work displayed made me realize I have potential”, Atom said proudly. “Now I’m more confident in my photography. I use what I’ve learned for school events, and I even took wedding photos for my dad’s friend to earn extra income”.

Tee and Atom’s stories show that when opportunities become accessible, students are more than ready to embrace and shape better futures for themselves.

All it takes is a teacher to open the door and guide them toward it. As Kru Jee puts it: “Teachers bring opportunities, which can lead students toward experiences that expand their worlds”.
