The Role: Senior Communication Manager

To achieve our mission, we are looking to recruit a Senior Communication Manager who will play a key role to shape and execute the organization’s communications strategy to ensure that they are aligned to our goal to raise our brand awareness across our internal and external target audiences. The fast-paced role, both creative and strategic, involves working across teams, and will be a vital bridge to the organization and its key constituencies. This is a great opportunity for an exceptional leader who has strong communication and marketing skills, is detail-oriented and organized, possesses strong strategic thinking skills, and has the ability to build authentic relationships across different groups of people

Outcomes and Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate Teach For Thailand’s brand as a top-of-mind charitable organization through the development and delivery of a top-notch marketing and communications strategy. The success should be measured by our exposure on mainstream media per quarter.
  • Ensure that organizational key messages effectively reach all our priority target audiences which will drive successes in other areas particularly; (i) achieving THB 0.5M target in mass giving campaign at the end of 2022 (ii) achieving the 2023 application target for fellows recruitment.
  • Build relationships with media to ensure positive and sufficient coverage of our organization’s work and impact
  • Come up with key results and data indicators to measure the outcome and success of the above such as; increasing our website traffic to 38,000 and increasing the number of social media subscribers to more than 78,000 by end of the year.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Set up and implement strategies to communicate our mission and approach  through messaging that is universally understandable and resonant across a  diverse set of stakeholders, including: media, corporate partners, government  agencies/policy makers, foundation, other social enterprises, and internal HQ  and school based staff. 
  • Tailor messaging by constituency to advance the  organization’s points of view and drive constituencies to action. 
  • Manage the marketing budget and deliver effective marketing activity within  agreed budget and ROI 
  • Support development of the annual recruitment marketing and mass giving fundraising strategy and execution
  • Plan organization’s communications strategy to ensure that they are aligned to our  goal to raise our brand awareness across our target audiences 
  • Analyze target audiences’ behavior and different communication channels to  effectively communicate key messages for the particular audience that lead to a  desired outcome 
  • Own the content creation across the marketing and communications mix (i.e.  Facebook posts, web copy, stakeholder communications, brochures/flyers, event  programs, short reports, press releases, Powerpoint presentations, etc.)
  • Own all social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, etc.) including respondents to comments and questions from there.
  • Responsible for all design work including managing a team of freelancers (graphic designer, content writer etc).

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships for current and future expansion of Teach For Thailand to different provinces of highest needs.

Requirements:

  • Over 5 years of professional work experience in branding/ marketing/ communications/ public relations 
  • Prior experience in managing major integrated marketing communication campaigns  across various platforms and delivering high results  
  • Prior experience in raising the profile of an organization through smart PR strategies  and crisis communications skills is highly preferred
